Fishing Trip

In June each year, the Fund charters a boat that leaves from Captree State Park at 8:00am.

A day of fishing and fun! There will be coffee, juice and bagels in the morning and water, soda and light libations to go along with the six foot heroes in the afternoon.

Trophies will be given to all children 12 and younger.

Charity Cigar Parties

Twice a year in August and December, the Fund teams up with the NYC Combined Federal Campaign and selects charities to benefit from these events.

The August party is geared towards a BBQ feast at a local establishment where cigar smoking is allowed outdoors. The December party is two-fold; a serene indoors atmosphere for the cigar aficionado to enjoy a smoke and a smoke free room for everyone to party. This is the perfect time for people to come and spend some quality time with their friends from work.

Either way we raise some money for well-deserved charities. Some charities include Wounded Warrior Project, Global Medical Relief Fund and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Watch out for the party flyers and come be a part of the excitement!

Spring Party

Held during the first week of April each year, this party brings everyone together to celebrate those who retired during the previous year.

The party is chock full of entertainment, great food, awesome fellowship and a lot of fun. Come dressed to impress because you could end up on next year’s flyer!

This party is geared to raise money for the JFK Boy Scouts Explorer Post.

Ski Trip

Each year, the Health and Welfare Fund sponsors a ski trip to Windham Mountain.

The date normally occurs during President’s week in February, as this allows parents to take their kids, without having to take them out of school.  The bus leaves Building 77 at 6am, and provides coffee, juice and bagels for breakfast.  At the end of the day, we meet back on the bus at 4pm, and go down the street to an Italian restaurant called Messina’s for some after skiing, and dinner.  After dinner, we board the bus for a relaxing ride back to the airport, arriving back at Building 77 between 9-10pm.

The cost of the trip includes the bus, lift ticket, breakfast and dinner.  Equipment rentals, if necessary, are extra.

The trip is open to all family, friends and neighbors.
